Yuta Okkotsu and Rika
Jujutsu Kaisen

Yuta Okkotsu’s Domain Expansion FINALLY Revealed – It’s FAR Stronger Than We Expected

After 250 chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuta finally uses his domain expansion! I can’t describe how badly I wanted to see what he could do, and just like every other fan, I had very high expectations.

Needless to say, his ability did not disappoint!

What Does Yuta’s Domain Expansion Do?

Yuta’s domain expansion, True Love, allows him to use any technique that he has copied as the domain’s guaranteed-hit effect. On top of this, his domain is covered in katanas that contain the other cursed techniques that he copied. Each katana only contains one technique and can only be used once, but there’s an infinite number of katanas. Lastly, Yuta doesn’t know which cursed technique a katana has until he picks it up.

What Makes Yuta’s Domain So Overpowered?

Yuta’s domain utilizes his cursed technique incredibly well. Being able to use any of his previously copied techniques for a guaranteed hit effect allows Yuta to surprise his opponents. Nobody will know for sure what technique Yuta is going to use until he uses it. Additionally, Yuta can still use the other cursed techniques he copied by picking up one of the infinite number of katanas that are scattered throughout his domain. As if this wasn’t already enough, Yuta can still use Rika within his domain.

Yuta Okkotsu's Domain Expansion

The Only Downsides:

I was expecting there to be a significant drawback, but surprisingly, there are only two minor ones:

  1. Yuta doesn’t know which technique is contained within a katana until he picks it up
  2. Each katana can only be used once

Let’s talk about the first drawback – a lack of knowledge about which technique he is about to pick up. Sure it can be annoying if Yuta picks up a weak technique, but he can simply pick up another katana if this happens. Additionally, nothing is stopping Yuta from using one of his most powerful copied techniques as his domain’s guaranteed hit effect. This means he wouldn’t need to rely on the katanas much against most opponents.

As for the second drawback, single-use katanas aren’t really an issue if you have an infinite number of them. Yes, he doesn’t know which katana is going to have the same technique as the one he is holding, but if any particular technique is essential to a battle, he can simply use it as his guaranteed hit effect.

What Does This Mean?

Basically, only a top-notch opponent would be able to survive Yuta’s domain expansion, but I guess that’s to be expected. After all, Yuta is called a special-grade sorcerer for a reason.

The real question is whether or not his domain is strong enough to defeat Sukuna, and it’s still too soon to know that for sure. As Jujutsu Kaisen nears its end, we can only hope that Yuta and the rest of Jujutsu High have what it takes to pull off a victory.
